SIPP Instant Coconut Coffee

I recently purchased the SIPP Instant Coconut Coffee - Double Shot, and let me tell you, I was hooked basically straightaway. SIPP first came under my radar when I found them through Instagram, where they were proudly announcing that there bags were home compostable! Amazing!

SIPP Instant was created by 2 friends in Byron Bay, after they noticed a lack in the market for home coffee that was not only good for you, but also for the environment! The scary statistics show just how bad Australia's habit with at-home coffee pods are, and let's not mention how many are used daily around the world. While some companies are taking ownership for the problems they have created, by setting up pod recycling schemes and offering reusable pods... most of this still comes in unrecyclable wasteful packaging!

So, after taking the plunge (ha!), and ordering my first bag, it took around a week to arrive here in Brisbane from their base in Byron Bay. It arrived with absolutely no plastic in sight - hurray! - all paper, cardboard and plant based compostable materials. My initial thought was that the bag seemed small and quite light. But, boy was I wrong... This little bag kept me going for a whole MONTH!

The serving suggestion on the back states that it makes around 16 coffees, using 2 tablespoons per serve. However, some days I found I was using only 1 tablespoon in a small glass, while other days it was the full 2 tablespoons. As it is a double shot, I felt quite satisfied even with the 1 tablespoon serving size. I prefer my coffee iced/cold (funnily enough, only since becoming a mum...), and this was absolutely delicious in the morning, with a cup of water and scoop of ice. Perfect to get me moving.

Not only does the caffeine give you a good boost, it's boosted with 525 colony forming units (cfu) of probiotics per serve, is full of 6 organic grains to help absorption and prevent a caffeine or sugar crash, and is also high in multiple vitamins and minerals.
